The first General meeting of the year was on February 22nd, 2025 at Rohr Park. Below is a short overview of the discussions held. Below is a short overview:
FINANCES
- Pres. Celia shared Treasurer Evina's breakdown of expenditures and current balance for the group , with a majority of the spending for bereavement costs and park or hall reservations for events. The balance remains close in amounts to what was endorsed to the 2024/2025 officers.
ELECTION COMMITTEE
- Marilou Becasen will be the head of the Election Committee, accepting nominees for the 2025/2026 term for the November 2025 election.
- Facebook Group Etiquette agreements were made by majority vote for the BIBAK San Diego group to be for group announcements, invitations to events, or group-related information or media sharing (pictures).
- The BIBAK San Diego & Friends group is where personal or other promotional posts can be shared with that group. All posts in either group must be non-political and/or non-religious to foster a respectful online environment for all members.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Mr. Meru's family shared their gratitude for the support in this difficult time, Pres. Celia and former Pres. Bob Aliping sharing news of Mr. Meru's 40th Day Anniversary to be held in Yucaipa March 22nd, 2025.
