Call or text 988 Lifeline to connect with crisis counselors for confidential support in the USA: mental distress, prevention, and crisis resources. 

Calls to 988 from a San Diego area code will be rerouted to the San Diego Access and Crisis Line (ACL), a confidential and free-of-charge local center.

The ACL offers crisis support and helps facilitate connections to behavioral health resources for you or your loved one, including:

  • Suicide prevention and crisis intervention
  • Mobile crisis response services
  • Alcohol and substance use referrals
  • Mental health referrals
  • Community resources
  • Other supportive services
  • Language interpreter available.

SAMHSA Helpline

The Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration Helpline provides 24-hour access to free and confidential help. You can get treatment referral and information about mental health and drug or alcohol use disorders, prevention, and recovery in English and Spanish.

Help is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and in more than 200 languages.

This is a local nonprofit organization that provides trusted source for information and connections to community, health, and disaster resources.

    EMERGENCY FOOD ACCESS

    Feeding San Diego is proud to have its very own community marketplace at our headquarters in Sorrento Valley. Community members are welcome to come once a month to shop for no-cost groceries, including dry goods, frozen protein, and fresh produce.

    The Marketplace is open Tuesday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    You can reserve a time slot for shopping on our calendar. Walk-ins are also welcome, but expect a wait time.

    Please bring your own bags!
